The manga's ability to use science fiction and comedy to convey a story about growing up into a better person is not only refreshing but empowering. At a first glance, it seems like an underdog story and in a way it could be viewed as such. The characters have to face many challenges big and small, and whether they succeed or not depends on their own personal growth. The way science fiction is applied to the manga is well done--no matter how extreme the scenarios may be, it doesn't disrupt my immersion. The artwork is also very nice. It has the balance of cuteness andhumor. It also brings weight to the emotional and action moments as well.
