This two-volume series was a really cozy romance with minimal drama and likable leads. When I say minimal drama, I mean over-the-top or unrealistic situations. There is drama, but it's of the very human and believable variety. Our female lead struggles with insecurity that has been spurred on by the way others have treated her, from previous love interests to co-workers and society in general, because of her general temperament combined with her being a witch. It's all very relatable and understandable. The male lead starts off a bit gruff and irritable, but he quickly comes to both understand and appreciate the female lead forwho she is as a thoughtful, kind, hard-working young woman who just wants to love and be loved.

This series definitely could have been longer given how much ground is covered in volume 2, but it's oh so sweet and charming that I'm willing to forgive it for being a bit rushed. If you like heartfelt and sweet romances, I think you'll like this one. Just be prepared to wish it were longer so that you could spend more time with these charming characters.
