For Better or For Worse · review
Good: - The characters (both main and side ones) are some of the best in the OI genre. They are unique, memorable and hilarious. - romance + comedy + slice-of-life are the primary genres. Lots of wholesome and positive vibes. Most of the series is actually just characters meeting and chatting. - gorgeous and cute art. Most of the female character designs are just insanely pretty. While ML's design is a bit bland, his variety of expressions are refreshing (compared to all the stoic male leads that we often see in OI). Bad: - There's barely 5 chapters worth of "plot" and even that is kind of amess (especially the final twist). Just completely forget the plot and enjoy the character interactions for a better reading experience.
- There's a good bit of angst, entirely arising out of [many] misunderstandings. There's also the annoying trope of FL saying "I must not interfere with OG plot and let ML fall in love with OGFL", which serves no purpose but to block the progress of romance.
Overall
Read for characters + comedy + romance + art. Ignore any angst or plot stuff that usually ruins the vibe. It's an entertaining series, but do not expect anything deep or a masterpiece.
