Saint Seiya Episode G: Assassin · review

Episode G: Assassin is pretty bad. My biggest complaint is that despite being a sequel to the first Episode G, all the development from the first series is just thrown into the dumpster for who knows why. But thats not all... Compared to the first series, that had a really solid story that was poorly executed towards the end, this one is just a complete mess from the start and never recovers from it. It is bad and keeps getting worse somehow. Bland dialogs, poorly written characters, horrible plot points (I'm doing my best not to spoil you guys here. So just believe me when Isay its bad).

If you read the first Episode G, you already know that the characters are kinda different to how they were in the original Saint Seiya series. Its kinda understandable since Episode G was envisioned exactly to expand on the gold saints, so they had to give more depth to these characters.

For some weird reason though, all that development is just completely ignored here in Assassin. It really makes no sense at all. The characters all behave as if the first Episode G never even happened. They are just different people. Like, what are they even thinking with this series?

The art is pretty much the only thing that is even remotely commendable in the series. All the chapters are done in full colors, and despite the art being a bit messy sometimes, it is still pretty satisfying to read in color.

I already wasted a lot of my time reading through this series, so I hope you dont waste yours. Its not worth it.
