Review of Vinland Saga Season 2

Holy cow! this show is quite literally a masterpiece and if I could give it a 11/10 I definitely would! Along with that it's one of the few shows, I can say I took a message away from that will help me throughout my life. I have never watched such an amazing show with such a dramatic change in tone from the action paced season 1 prior to this with lots of fighting and violence to the calmer paced season 2 with such a dramatic shift in tone to a redemption arc. To think this is the same show and characters is crazy to think about. Asfor the story, the characters are the most important and the 2 major characters in the show are the most important that being our main protagonist Thorfinn who went from a violent revenge beaten warrior only thinking of revenge to a peaceful kind man who wants to be reborn, and the second biggest character change this time being from the antagonist Canute from a timid quiet person who hates war and confrontation to believing it's the only way to succeed in the goals he desires. To see the character development in these is not to sound corny breathtaking in and the philosophical challenges they both face is phenomenal throughout this season.

This all comes to a clash towards the end of the season roughly the last 5 episodes. It's been a long time since where just a few episodes have not only had me on the seat of my chair but also left me speechless. This is also one of the few works of fiction where I shed a few tears while watching the episodes specifically during the last few episodes of this season.

This show specifically this season is one of my most rewatched shows of all time and to not sound even more corny, but it quite literally is an experience that will have you walking away having learned something.

As for music and animation/visuals being done by MAPPA definitely gives them points as the animation is amazing which we have come to expect from them not only are the visuals amazing making you want to stop to enjoy them even for a second along with this the fights that do happen in this season are amazing and well-choreographed

Overall, I could keep going on about how amazing this season is and the show as well but to sum it up this season is a masterpiece and one of best shows and season of any anime.
