Review of The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

I had a rather fun time watching this show from start to finish, but I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone I know. The story starts off interesting (for an isekai) our MC takes the form of a noble's son during his younger years, only to find out he is the 8th son in line, and basically will not inherit anything. He finds out he is basically the strongest mage to ever live (which I wouldnt count as a spoiler because pretty much every Isekai has the MC overpowered in some way). The problem with this show comes after about episode 4. The setup and beginning is by no means good, but it was at least interesting to watch unfold. Since he will not inherit anything in this world from his family, he needs to strike it big on his own, fine. The problem is once he gets to the point where he needs to start building his image and reputation after his schooling, everything just falls in his lap. I didn't expect much from the show, but the way things just seem to fall in his lap or get his attention to make him even more OP and rich can be off putting.

a weird show that I would say I liked watching, but would not recommend to anyone.
