Review of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-

Honestly, I blew through this series so fast that I don't know if I'll be able to give a super detailed review of this season that doesn't just rehash all the great stuff in Kaguya-sama that has been there for the last two seasons. I guess the biggest thing is that, if you were waiting for this series to open up into a place where it felt like it was more than just Miyuki and Kaguya running the show, this season is really going to give that to you. Yes, the second season began that process as well, I was glad to have a fullcast of characters to be invested in this go around.

Of course, the plot itself advanced quite a lot in various different areas, which isn't something Kaguya-sama normally does (it's a pretty consistently-paced or slow-paced series). I suppose, because of that, the tone of Kaguya-sama this season brought it closer to a typical romance anime, rather than the bombatious uniqueness of previous seasons. In a way, that may feel like a loss, but much like what I felt with the second season's change in tone, I don't think this season lost the heart of what Kaguya-sama is, even if the more dramatized elements weren't used as much. Which is a necessary change the series had to make to advance the characters and their stories, so it all added up to create great pacing for this season.

Other than that, there isn't much else to say about this season that wouldn't give out spoilers. If you're like me and have been invested in this series since you started watching it, I think this season will satisfy you. I also think it'll give you some new experiences with and sides to these characters that you haven't gotten yet, which will only make you like the characters more. I suppose no one needs another 10/10 review for this series, but take that score for what it's worth because this season is as awesome as it gets.
