Review of Dan Da Dan

I know that everyone on the internet right now is talking about how good this show is, but I think that season 1 is slightly overrated. Now, don't get me wrong, Dandadan is a good show, especially episode 7, but I just feel like it's just a big 5 hour long introduction. I think that season 2 will be way better, which is why I will definitely check that out when it releases. Like I was saying, I get why people love this show, but all the intense action and interesting plot line is kind of held back by the sheer goofiness that the characterspossess. I do like goofy shows, but Dandadan just seems a bit too cringe like a bad romance anime.

Now that I have stopped my ranting, I want to point out the highlights. As I mentioned before, Episode 7 is quite frankly a masterpiece and should be put in an art gallery or something like that. That episode almost made me cry, which is a feat that few anime have ever done. The comedy in the show is great pretty consistently throughout the show, which is rare for an anime. The animation quality is wonderful and deserves the praise it has gotten, and finally, Okarun is one of, if not my favorite main character from an anime that came out this year. I recommend this show to the people who like action filled comedic anime that make you feel all the feels, but my final score is a 7.8/10.
