Review of My First Girlfriend is a Gal

Hajimete no Gal is your basic rom-com with heavy elements of ecchi. Overall, I thought that the show actually started off nicely. There were many instances where I thought the scenes were funny and I thought that the ecchi was entertaining. However after a while the show for whatever reason fell flat and became average. The story itself outside of the comedic moments was bland. Much of the same can be said for the art, animation and sound. There wasn't much to like about the individual characters in Hajimete no Gal although I will say that how the characters interacted with each other was where Igot most of my enjoyment from this show. In particular, I thought the various personalities of Junichi whenever he had his fantasies were entertaining and it's a shame they didn't get more screen time.
As far as ecchi anime is concerned, this show isn't bad but apart from that, there are some other anime you can check out before this one.
