21 times. I cried 21 times watching this retelling of the first 100 episodes. Should you watch this as your introduction to One Piece? No! It's by no means a complete retelling or a replacement for the original; It is made for those who have watched One Piece weekly for years, and serves as a gum gum gatling gun of nostalgia to hit you the feels you forgot you had. The art is also done in the style of modern One Piece so it could have slid right in as a extra long episode, or have broken up the special into episodes to let themanga get a bit ahead of the anime in preperation for the next major arc. They could have, and it would have been a fantastic chain of episodes... but they did not. They made a marathon of emotion that left me wet... from the tears of couse...
