Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride

There is a lot to say about this anime. As someone who has only watched the anime and never read the manga I overall enjoyed the show quite a lot. The art and music in this show is close to a masterpiece and something you would see out of a Studio Ghibli. The first 12 episodes of this show were very strong! I felt a lot emotions and enjoyed the entire ride! The last 12 episodes lost me at times but came through strong at the end. (Thank god!) My main issue being that character and story development halted after episode 12 to show offsome beautiful but very unnecessary episodes and scenes.

Overall the experience was heartwarming and sad at all the right times with some minor character and story development issues.
