Review of No Game, No Life: Zero
Art is 10/10. Beautifully drawn, excellent use of cgi, and it really just looks amazing at all times The problem with this movie is that they leave alot of unanswered questions due to there simply being too much story for too little time. They try to cram this massive scale saga into a 2 hour run time and it just doesnt work. What we end up with is a disjointed mess that wastes screentime on a romance, then when it finally decides to tie up all the war storyline, it begins scene skipping leaving you sitting there asking wtf is even going on. Were bombarded withimagry and little to no explanation of what that imagry is
Negatives aside, the characters are great (although the side characters barely get any screentime), it was a very entertaining movie, and seeing the old NGNL cast again on the big screen almost brought a tear to my eye. Im giving this movie an 8 because it was a quality film. If they had explained everything we were seeing at the end better, i wouldve given it a 9 or 10.
