Review of My Love Story!!

I once overlooked this anime, after finish it I regret not watching this sooner. Fun and entertaining, it won't lecture you with thousand lines of dialog and make you depressed thinking what's the meaning of life. A nice romcom done right. So let's dive deeper. Pros: - Unique main character, it's the first time I see a main male character as a muscular, unattractive (compare to standard) and kindred. Tbh, first time I see him in the poster, I thought he's support char and Suna in background is the main. - Lots of comedy, nothing vulgar, pure and innocence, yes I'm tired of ecchi. It's nice to havethis after all those fantasy.
- Nicely animated, not that detail but is very good for a romcom, which most of the time will be rushed and look pale. Expression done right, I really appreciate this.
- Story is kept simple, straight forward and kinda realistic, beside of Takeo's incredible strength which is a comedy material, I don't mind anything else. I hate twist, it feel like the author trying to fool me by limiting information then suddenly laugh into my face because of that.
- The feel, even tho is not really that deep and bitter, is definitely there hiding in those expression, just as that milky (damn my vocabulary is suck) taste lurking in a sponge cake.
- Nice OP and ED.

Cons:
I don't really have anything to say, the only I hope can be improved is more bgm and theme song, but this is a romcom so that's not really necessary.

After thought:
I read lots of review giving low score, the main thing they complain is simply that there is no "punch" in the story, this is true. But I don't think you have to make someone dead just to put some drama, tragedy to make their love worthy.
Why does Yamato like Gouda? Clearly she got help from him, in such situation, a girl surely will be grateful to anyone helped her. And she study in girls school, the urge if you eventually know what it is. But then why not Suna you ask? Because she is not an ungrateful b*tch. Because she appreciate your heart than your appearance. Because she has empathy unlike you.
Why does Gouda like Yamato? Because he is not "popular" among girls. Try being alone for a time, you will understand what is craving for attention. You are already but you just don't know.
Do Yamato and Gouda a good match? Yes, they are kind and care for each other, that's enough. I won't say they are the perfect tho.

Sure understand each other's feel need lots of conflict, but as their heart are so pure, I don't think there are much they don't understand. And in reality, many couples like them exist. More than anything I hope I can protect these people.
