So this anime is about a dude with a shield. There's also three other less important people who have a bow, sword, and spear. We follow Naofumi as he is ripped from his world, thrown into this one, is given a shield, has the absolute shittiest time, but finds a raccoon, a loli, and a bird to make it less shit. Bad things are happening, the sky rips open and tosses monsters onto the ground, there's a plot, people are stupid, and just when you thought we were done, bad things are happening again. How can we simultaneously shit on the one person saving our retardedlives?

So I enjoyed this anime, I felt some classic emotions. It's an overcome story and those are good when done well, and this was done well. It has good story, the story doesn't quit, just when I'm like: "Okay, there gonna wrap this up." BOOM something else happens. It's non stop too, there's always something happening with a few gasps of air in between and I enjoyed that. I'm not a big fan of pointless filler, even beach ecchi beach episodes.

Some cons I had with it are sometimes the characters were contradictory. Whether they were main characters or not they would say something and then in the next episode say the exact opposite. The four cardinal heroes are summoned and sent out alone into the world, but don't forget to work together!
Even though I said there was no filler I did feel somethings were just pointless or just a scapegoat.
