Review of Devilman: Crybaby
SPOILER WARNING! Devilman crybaby was a rollercoaster of a 10 episode series. The show had a thrilling art style with insane sound design to follow, the story was great paced not feeling slow or fast at any point. The action was great offering great fights and gore. The ending had me in tears as ryo had killed his one true friend for power, the ending has stuck with me for almost a month now (as of writing this) and it truly pains me thinking of the sorrow in akira and ryo's hearts. Akira was a great character to me, he was designed to be a bit ofa wimp, but through amon's power he became more powerful. Becoming taller slimmer and more attractive, this stylish choice represented the shift well. I loved watching akira become a brave character whilst retaining the crybaby side to him, showing he never fully left being the boy who was scared. Akira's character had no shortcomings being a gullible crybaby who became the all powerful demon we saw in the series.
