Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu is the third season of the seven deadly sins anime and, it is a mixed bag in my opinion. lets start off with the positive the characters, particularly the sins. All seven of them receive development, depth and, are relatable in their own way. I have to especially praise Ban as his backstory as well as what he went through this season cemented him as one of my favorite anime characters, hi relationship with Elaine, swagger and, overall coolness just make him a joy to watch, Also, the introduction of Escanor the lion sin of pride is probably the bestway I've seen a character enter a show since maybe ever. I loved the development they gave Meliodas, King and, Gowther. Dianes extended past was also really cool to see. I loved that we got to see more of the supporting characters like the knights of Liones.

The story is well paced for the most part, action sequences were seamlessly fluid and, were of cinematic quality. The first opening to the show titled Howling by FLOW and, GRANRODEO is one of the best anime opening I have ever heard, I've listened to the full version at least an hundred times (no joke), its second best opening I've heard this year behind Bye Bye Yesterday. The themes and, most were pretty good and, matches the show. animation design was sleek, crisp and, clean.

I liked how they dealt with the themes of coming from a broken home, making sacrifices and, dealing with difficult decisions. The comedy was elevated from the previous season and, I liked how they handled the arc of villain turned ally.

Which brings me to one of the thing I did not like about the season the villains. The main antagonists of the season are called the ten commandments, demons based on the commandments. They started off with all the potential in the world but, were completely and, utterly wasted. We don't learn much about them and, only one of them Galand of truth has substantial screen time. To add insult to injury half of them are killed off by the end of the season so what was the point of hyping them up ??

Also, the final 4 or 5 episodes of the show were an absolute wtf. By that I mean that after a great and, epic cliffhanger they show literally takes a halt and, has two filler episodes. The final battle was good but, was just a redo of the final battle of the first season.

During the season they introduced this power level thing where they listed down the stats of some of the characters and, I didn't hate it but, it did get irritating at a certain point.

For the most part I very much enjoyed Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu, it had great action, comedy and, drama. I loved watching the adventures and, backstories of our seven main characters as well as some of their supporting characters. The show does have its boring and, dull moments but, thats to be expected with every shonen. I like this season more than the first and, I can't wait to see what comes next for the sins.
