Review of Nisekoi: False Love
This was a amazing romcom anime to watch. Not the best but it is up there. For this review I will discuss both seasons for Nisekoi. First and foremost it is an Harem anime at first but it does not feel like a generic. To be honest the amount of romance excitement I get from this anime is absurd. I felt a really good nostalgic feeling of what is was like watching a simple down to earth romcom anime where it was all about choosing one girl. It didn't feel generic, I got doki doki feelings from it, and all the characters in the storywere so cute and wholesome. Watching this anime made me feel alive again.
The plot in this anime was ok. In the first season it had a really unique and intriguing basis. It is just after that things started to slow down and that the plot wasn't really progressing at all. But that isn't really a reason to hate what is goin on in this anime because each episode gave me a stupid grin on my face. I just wish that in the first season all the characters would have been introduced and that this season would be focused on the plot but either way I still enjoyed season 2. I enjoyed all the episodes even though most felt like filler to me, and it gave me a connection to all the characters. I just love how this anime just does a perfect job of turning a basic story plot in to something that makes my heart skip and makes me feel alive. Most romcoms just fail to do so and just makes me feel plain and tired. Overall I just love how basic this anime is.
Now on to the characters. I mean to be honest with you the main driving point of this anime was the characters. All the fucking heroines deserve the main character. They are just so cute and sweet. I mean every single time there is a a episode that focuses on one of them I then choose her as best girl and winner but next thing I know next episode the other just so cute so FUCK I CAN"T DECIDE. All the characters have there personalities and quirks that you find yourself rooting for them. They all can be sweet and most times I almost found myself crying when there was a turning point.
The artstyle and animation at first was a bit cringe and felt like I was watching something poorly paced. But after a few episodes I got used to it and actually started to admire it. I love how they emphasized the beauty of the girls and it really made me feel something when something major was happening in the anime. The voice acting was great and it fit each and every character perfectly and made the girls very cute.
This anime was a major breath taker and emotional roller-coaster. It has been awhile since watching a good romcom series that made me nervous and hyped.
Overall 9/10
