Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead

Zom 100 has a really good start, it visually looks cool, and what they do with the colours and the directing seems really unique and well done at first. After sitting with it a while my impressions did lessen off the show, as its uniqueness wore a way leaving a cheesy but nice feel good adventure. Whilst I would say this show isn't always the best written show, some points in it feel relatively bad, it is always one which I had fun with and could often put a smile on my face due to its feel good nature. Zom 100 is ultimately about characters getting thechance to do what they really want to do but couldn't before an apocalypses, zombie pandemics are often the subject of fear, or gruesome action, this show is unique in how the pandemic is more about a feel good show, one to inspire you to do the things you want to do yourself. Because of that nature I often do think the feel good aspect takes the center even in the writing, some of the situations are outright silly, and teh main characters literally seem incredibly op compared to regular people. Zombies are scary as heck if your not a main character and complete fodder if you are, there movement speed does become incredibly suspect to what is convenient for the story as well.

The character are good enough, they have goals, things they want to do and well defined personalities, there not overly complex but they have room for expansion and are completely likeable. Though the side characters are honesty a little weak. The comedy can be mixed for me as well it gets some laughs and other times I'm like really, you think that's funny.

But honestly poor story and side characters aside, what this show does well and why I ultimately recommend it, is that it can still often put a smile on my face. Seeing characters despite the odds managing to have fun in the most dire circumstances and this show be a bit silly despite the setting does make me feel good, I generally do leave most episodes feeling rather positive and upbeat, and the show really does do the feel good quite successfully.

This is a fun show, it's story honestly is a bit weak, and I do wonder if I will get bored of it it were to have another season, but as it stands it succeeded on putting a smile on my face and making me feel good, and if that is exactly what you want then I would recommend this show to you.
