Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Frieren is an anime best suited for people who don't want to be overwhelmed by flashy fights and speedy paces. It's the type of story where the viewers actually have to think back on their own memories and experiences to find anything meaningful in what is written, whether or not it's about relatability or just general lessons. Otherwise, the show can come across as very slow-paced and boring. It can be reasonably determined that the series accomplishes one thing very well in that it knows its target audience, sticks to what it wants to convey, and doesn't overstuff itself with unnecessary themes or tropes as aresult. It also does a decent job in how it portrays the struggles of an emotionally detached person that also craves to understand others (speaking from personal experience).
