Review of Dan Da Dan

Absolutely awful place to end the first season or cour or whatever you want to call it, but already knowing what happens next plus knowing that there's a 2nd part coming out pretty soon makes it a little better. Still I feel like they could have maybe dropped the ED for episode 12 or paced it a little differently so it ended in a way that wasn't that awful of a cliffhanger. Feels a bit too much like "wait 6 months or read the manga" bait to me. Regardless of that, fantastic show all around. Great action, great beginnings of romantic development, great humor, andgreat animation. Every episode just flew by in a flash. It's kind of crazy how many genres this series covers and manages to balance. You go from super dramatic episodes like 7 to silly episodes like 8 and 9 and yet it never really feels unnatural. Great characters too. Everyone is likeable in their own way, weird in their own way, and always have a role to play in some capacity.

I really hope Science Saru ends up adapting all of this manga, because from what I've heard it only gets better.
