Review of A Couple of Cuckoos

I'm still trying to figure out why I wasted my time on this anime. I mean, the premise sounded cool - arranged marriage, rival families, forbidden love... but trust me, it was a hot mess. First off, the characters were so annoying. Akira's all like "Oh, I'm so tough and cool" but really he's just a whiny baby. And Miyuki's got some serious self-esteem issues, it's like, girl, you're amazing, stop letting him walk all over you! And don't even get me started on the plot. It's like they took every cliche from the romance genre and mashed them all together into a big ol' mess. Forbiddenlove? Check. Evil family members? Check. Love triangles? Check. Gah, it was like they were trying to torture me.

The only good thing I can say is that the animation was pretty, I'll give them that. But honestly, that's not enough to save this trainwreck. If you value your sanity, stay far, far away from this anime. 2/10, would not recommend.
