Review of A Whisker Away

Story wise the anime does nothing too special its just a standard a drama plot with a much younger cast and cats.(7/10) The art for the show is fairly good but thoroughly unremarkable when compared to other movies such as your name,a silent voice etc. Though the backgrounds and lighting are done quite well.(7/10) The soundtrack i found to be quite suiting for their respective scenes and really stood out after the halfway mark of the movie. The vocals were done quite well too.(8/10) The characters of the show i found to be fairly generic and boring towards the beginning of the movie but after having theirrespective situations and mental states explained to us, i was able to understand them and relate to them to a degree especially to Hinode. Though Muge may be very annoying and clingy initially, i was able to understand the her eventually. Even the pet cat was well written. The only gripe i have is with the Mask Seller he is just your standard, boring, persuasive, don't deal with the devil kinda villain. Overall solid main cast but a kinda boring antagonist.(7.5/10)

All these mostly good factors come together to make a very enjoyable movie that conveys a pretty valuable message. running away from your problems isn't going to make them go away and that confronting them is usually your best option, as hard as that might be.
Overall very enjoyable movie i would recommend you watch if you like romantic dramas.(8/10)
