Review of Lazarus
A beautifully crafted cyberpunk world set in the near future, with a reality that closely mirrors our own. The animation and art direction clearly reference Cowboy Bebop and serve as a heartfelt tribute to screenwriter Keiko Nobumoto. Additionally, the central conflict fits perfectly within the context of the story. That would be a fair summary of the anime. However, despite the plot being intriguing — with each episode sparking curiosity about what’s happening and how it will unfold — the anime doesn't go much further than that. The characters and antagonists are largely forgettable, and the resolutions feel too rushed, which ultimately undermines the show’s strongpotential.
It’s not a bad anime, but it’s hard to believe I’ll remember it in the near future.
