Review of Monster

While the plot of this show seems relatively simple, I have never seen anything go into so much depth. Everything was explained well. There were many great twists. The characters were all incredible, especially the supporting cast. When asked about the show, I often describe it as "If Hitchcock made anime". It has a very similar style to Hitchcock movies, and is executed just as well. If you are new to anime, this show is great because it's very western. You can ease into anime after seeing this. Furthermore, it doesn't have any of the obnoxious parts of most anime. There is no fanservice. Thefaces are properly proportioned. There are no high school students (the main character is about 40). No character is simply there for comic relief or one dimensional. Everything about this show was perfectly done, and I cannot imagine a better show ever being made.
