Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

I'm an avid fan of maho shoujo as a genre. I have seen bad and good ones. I can describe Ojamajo Doremi as a whole as people knows who are their audience, what message they wanna convey and gives care about it. Unlike others that wants to be aspirational while being relatable, Doremi series paints a village of characters you want to see grow. If you are reading my review and you haven't watched the series, give it a try. For the review of this season, Motto. This is the best season out of all of the series. They perfected the ways that the previous seasonsI disliked and while being entertaining. This season is for the fans that care. They cut away less of the exams to give ample time for character focused stories. They also cut down on Hana's screen time, more time for the main girls and our new Momoko. Being the third season, it was on the comfy side of you know what are established and they make plots for their classmates and for new set of classmates. This season is filled with rich stories of non-perfect characters that are loveable and shows how humane they are in the eyes of kids. There's enough magic but also enough grounded stories that makes sense to children. There are dark topics but the people behind it knows how to deliver it with grace.

More spoilers:
Doremi grew to be mature while being clumsy. Lots of main character of shoujo anime falls on the pit of being forever clumsy and dumb that you will get sick of it. Everyone grows to be mature while still being a kid with their personality. Being a reliable sister but still has that immaturity of an elementary student. They really nailed it. Momoko was trying to fit in but she grows to her own vibe while being a good friend and mama. I wish we had a better delivery with her backstory plot. It was laid out confusing. For me, she had a role of Doremi S1 being brash but bokke but both of them grew to their own thing so its great! I also love Aiko's balance of "tomboy" while not sticking to the troupe. She wears a dress when meeting her mom. She want to present her self while still having her personality. I cry everytime its the divorce plot. They are so brave for putting this thing on kid TV on that time. Onpu is like a wild card. She might seem rude but she is literally just kinda forced to have a lot of responsibility with showbiz and wanting to fill the dream of her mother. She still stands up for herself and reclaims the dream as her own. Since she is "more mature" than the others, she fills the role of an emotional support and mentor time to time. GOAT. Hadzuki kinda falls to comedy. She has always been a good kid but IG her plot kinda finished already by knowing how to standup from her mom but she becomes more of a comedy schtick.

Solid Season. (i recommend u watch Na-i-sho too :3 it takes place during Motto even if released after Dokkan)
