Loved seeing Kimura's growth in this movie, as he's my favorite side character because he's just a straightforward, pretty easygoing guy. However, I have an issue with not necessarily Kimura in this movie but Kimura following this movie. In this movie, we see a side of Kimura we haven't before, a side of determination, a side that wants to improve. He was a genuinely competent boxer, which was awesome to see. However, following this movie, Kimura reverts to his mediocre self and his fights get relegated to being gags as they were before. I wish we could've seen some more lasting growth in his characterand competence, but I still really enjoyed this!
