Golden Kamuy Season 2 · review
On the surface this sounds like the kind of show that'd be really boring. It's a period setting that's very focused on historical details with a cast of thousands. You'd expect that to be historical, dry and brutal. It's not for the weak of stomach in that sense, but no, it's very entertaining. Something I appreciate about this second season is that we're at a point now where the characters are talking to each other more. It was a cast of thousands, but we've whittled down to a group and all of their motivations and agendas started to come together. Really good character writing - there'llbe a scene with one guy who'll be with the party for only a few days before he dies or something and you'll learn everything about him, etc.
Just a really compelling show if you can stomach the violence and blah production. Oh, and it's REALLY GAY.
