Review of Noragami Aragoto
- English Review (Translated version) I will not go into too much detail on this review because "Noragami Aragoto" is a direct sequel to "Noragami" and practically all the sections follow the same line without changing too much. I will just comment on a few interesting new points, but they will be minor things. If you want to know in detail what I think of "Noragami", read my review of the first season. I have noticed that moments of humour (especially absurd "Gintama-like" humour) have decreased their presence in this second season. I guess there are some people who like this, not me. Basically because I thinkthat the humor of "Noragami" is quite good and adds variety and nuances to the development of the plot, apart from giving the whole its own personality, making it stand out from the cloned shonens of the moment. Luckily, they have not eliminated it, but my impression has been that they have reduced its importance and presence.
In return, I would say that the argument in general is better, more interesting and solid than in the first round of episodes. The two differentiated storylines (Bishamon and Ebisu/Underworld) are well laid out, with an almost perfect rhythm and development. Yato is gaining in importance and that probably causes Hiyori and Yukine (of whom I still don't like his pre-teen personality) to lose some weight in the plot. Let no one be confused, they are still the main protagonist trio, I am speaking only of a proportion of importance among themselves. In addition, there are secondary characters like Kazuma, Bishamon or Ebisu that become indispensables.
What is still as spectacular as ever is the technical section. That includes the artistic one, with a sober, but very clean and detailed character design, with highest quality, especially for a shonen. And also the sound section, with a spectacular soundtrack. Very varied (ethnic melodies, electronic melodies, rock tones, classical...) and at a very high level. The opening (very good refrain) and the ending may not stand out so much, but they don't clash either.

Aviso a navegantes: no me voy a explayar demasiado con esta reseña porque "Noragami Aragoto" es una secuela directa de "Noragami" y prácticamente todos los apartados siguen la misma línea sin cambiar excesivamente. Me limitaré a comentar algún que otro punto novedoso que sea interesante, pero serán cosas menores. Si quieres saber en detalle lo que pienso de "Noragami", lee mi reseña sobre la primera temporada.
He notado que los momentos de humor (especialmente de humor absurdo a lo Gintama) han disminuido su presencia en esta segunda temporada. Supongo que habrá gente a la que esto le agrade, a mí personalmente no. Básicamente porque creo que el humor de "Noragami" es bastante bueno y añade variedad y matices al desarrollo de la trama, aparte de dotar al conjunto de personalidad propia, haciendo que se desmarque de los shonens clónicos de turno. Por suerte no lo han eliminado, pero mi impresión ha sido que sí le han restado importancia y presencia.
A cambio, diría que el argumento en general es mejor, más interesante y sólido, que en la primera tanda de episodios. Los dos arcos argumentales diferenciados (Bishamon y Ebisu/Inframundo) están bien planteados, con un ritmo y un desarrollo casi perfectos. Yato gana importancia y probablemente eso provoca que Hiyori y Yukine (del que sigue sin convencerme su personalidad preadolescente) pierdan algo de peso en la trama. Que nadie se confunda, siguen siendo el trío protagonista, hablo solo de una proporción de importancia entre ellos mismos. Además, hay secundarios como Kazuma, Bishamon o Ebisu que se convierten en imprescindibles. Otros como la adorable Kofuku siguen al pie del cañón.
Lo que sí continúa tan espectacular como siempre es el apartado técnico. Eso incluye el artístico, con un diseño de personajes sobrio, pero limpísimo y detallado, de grandísima calidad, especialmente para ser un shonen. Y también el apartado sonoro, con una banda sonora espectacular. Variadísima (melodías étnicas, electrónicas, de tintes rockeros, clásica...) y a un nivel altísimo. El opening (muy buen estribillo) y el ending quizá no destaquen tanto, pero tampoco desentonan.
