As a young girl sleeps soundly on Christmas night, her teddy bear awakens to a phone call. He puts on military fatigues, steps outside and there are audible gunshots. This is perhaps an allegory to all the soldiers who have to leave loved ones at a moments notice to fight for their country, just with a cute teddy bear instead of an actual human to make it more accessible to a younger audience. A beautiful instrumental hums in the background making it hard to not get a little emotional. If you enjoy shorts with a tinge of sadness/real worth truth to them, this will be withyour while. The first that I've seen from children's story writer Taku Furukawa so packed with feels.
