Review of The King's Avatar
>Loves playing games >Be an Internet Cafe Manager >Job is to actually to play games >Profit! There actually isn't a main story plot for this anime, I would rather treat each episode as a mini-story by itself, where you just follow a guy who simply loves gaming and has the skills for it. Despite that, each episode, or rather, each story of it's own is decently presented, nothing too fascinating to "wow" you, but there is always something in the story that manages to grab your attention. That said, if you are looking for an anime with a main, major story-line to follow, this anime isn't the one your looking for. Forthe art, I have no particular taste, and in fact I would comment nothing much on the 2D art since it didn't do anything to make me feel good or bad.
But the most astonishing thing is the 3D animations, literally first episode in and I got wow-ed by the amazing and smooth 3D animation quality they presented, never seen any anime that has such great 3D animation quality tbh.
As for the sound, nothing special, and in fact they overuse a lot of the sound tracks. But worth mentioning that the timings that they use the sounds are on point on giving the immersion/feel it is suppose to contribute to.
That said, despite it not having a main story-line to follow, it also leaves a lot of room for character development, you can certainly expect new information to know about a character from each episode.
Overall, I personally enjoyed this anime since it actually hit my sweet spot where I would certainly liked this anime for how it is portrayed, the genre, setting, etc.
