Review of A Place Further Than The Universe

What a delightfully positive anime through and through. Four eclectic main characters, with typical issues, but some interesting and atypical resolutions to their story arcs (at least within most anime). A host of decent supporting characters that serve their role well without overstaying their welcome or serving as hamfisted plot devices. A driving, but at times meandering main storyline with a tasteful conclusion overall. The only real thing that took me out of the experience was some decidedly awkward dialogue sequences during scenes where the visual metaphors and symbolism were plenty enough to convey the point. This, unfortunately, happens for at least 2-3 episodes ina row which made me consider bumping the score down a point, but the above-mentioned resolution to characters' arcs and the storyline more than made up for any pitfalls of these sections.
