In the original OVA the military council member made a good point that they are different from the politicians because they cared about the wellbeing of society and the republic whereas the politicians were only looking out for their own self interests, whereas in the remake they skipped this part of the dialogue, and just saidthe military council were wrong, instead of allowing the audience to decide like in the original where they just said different people have different outlooks . .However in the remake , there is a clear bias and political nuance has been lost . Its seems like a small dialogue change but it changes the content completely .

This is not the only example, the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes had far more political nuance and better dialogue than the remake .
