Review of Mob Psycho 100 II
It's rare that a sequel manages to live up to the sky high expectations built after an amazing S1. Well, Mob found a way. Oddly enough it was by repeating the message and lessons of the first season without turning into a re-run! An MC that is the most super duper ESP The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. style but is timid and doesn't want to fight. Then we are shown different paths he could have taken through other people's lives and how important it is to have a support system around you. The stakes are higher as Mob finally clashes with evil corp errrrrr whatever theywere called, evil Esp. Inc?
While the battles were epic it was more about our MC reaching out and listening to people and that's what sets this show apart from other Shonen. The protagonist is a pacifist, not just when it suits him to be but at his very core.
Mob Psycho 100 is the kind of show that pushes you to be a better person. I think it hits harder because the characters themselves practice what they preach rather than pay lip service to it.
