Oh... SAO, one of the most hated anime series in recent years. Is it as bad as people say? Let's see Before i start i just wanted to add that i do not care if you like this show, you're free to like whatever you want and i'm not here to stop you. Art and Sound: 8/10 Starting off with the two things that's actually good about this show, the art and sound. I have to admit that the art is very well done, especially the action sequenses, it's very pleasant to look at. Some of the characters look great too, but nothing special. The animation is alsotop notch. The soundtrack is also very well done, and so is the (first) opening. My only gripe with it is that it feels like they spent almost all their time on art and sound instead of story and characters (yes i know that it's not their fault since it's based on a light novel)

Character(s): 3/10

Jumping to the worst part of this show, the characters. The characters (if i could even call it that) feels very bland and uninteresting. There are only two characters that i could safely say are semi-good, and those two are Asuna and Klein, too bad one of them got ruined near the end and the other one was barely in the show to begin with. The worst characters by far is the protagonist Kirito. Making an OP as hell character in this kind f show is just stupid. The show is about people surviving inside of a video game, isn't it weird that the main character is basically immortal?
Look, i can accept an op character as long as they're not boring. Some examples of well executed op characters are: Saitama, Goku, basically the entire cast of "Nanatsu no Taizai". I would probably enjoy this show much more if Kirito was either just a supporting character or not in the show at all.

Story: 5/10

I can't lie, the show started off great, the first three episodes set us up to something that could actually be really great, but then for the rest of the first arc (until episodes 10-12, i think) feels like dumb fillers, filled with time-skips. But that's not all, the second arc is even worse. First off, they completely removed the only good premise the show gave us (if you die in the game ,you die in real life). Then they completely ruin one of the semi-good characters (Asuna).

Enjoyment: 7/10

I have to be honest ,the show can be enjoyable at times. Good action alongside good music and great visuals are usually enjoyable. But that's about it. I couldn't care less for the characters, which gave me less of a reason too keep watching.

Overall: 5/10

Look, i understand why someone would like this show, it just didn't "click" for me. I only liked the first three episodes and that's about it.

If you want to watch a similar series to this one i would recommend "Log Horizon" as it's a "stuck in a mmorpg" type show.
