Review of BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense.

I absolutely loved watching this series! It's refreshing in the sense that the characters and story are about creatively exploring an open world VRMMO and reaping the benefits of doing so. I genuinely had fun watching the characters have fun. It took an interesting twist from the normal "MMO" or isekai genre because unlike most of those animes, there aren't any major conflicts, drama, or mysteries. Instead, its focus is on having a good time with friends and simply enjoying the game mechanics. Watching this made me wish that if VRMMOs existed, they would be just like this. I believe that focus is one ofthe greatest aspects of this anime.

In addition, it's hard not to enjoy watching the cute main character. Her creative way of approaching obstacles was super interesting and adds into the overall enjoyment of the anime, especially since she reaps overpowered rewards! I generally enjoy animes with OP MCs and her likable personality and creativity just takes it up another notch.

The art was quite nice as well. I'm generally not too picky, but the battle scenes were well animated and some of the scenery scenes were gorgeous too.

Overall, this is must watch if you're in the mood for a light hearted, enjoyable show! It would be nice if more shows like this existed! 10/10 :)
