Messiah: Isekai wo Sukutta Motoyuusha ga Mamono no Afureru Genjitsu Sekai wo Musou suru · review
7.5/10 It has been a while since I’ve read a good old-fashioned returner manga with an op mc, but I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Unlike other stories of this genre, the mc didn’t return with his original body nor time period. It’s a small touch that really makes it stand out a bit from the rest. Along with that, the mc learns about the original host's past from his own experiences in the body. Though crowded with clichés, the story isn’t bad. No character feels forced to move the plot either. However, if there was one thing I would’ve preferred, it would be more chapters covering theconflict. Each conflict gets introduced for a chapter or two and gets resolved immediately afterward. But if there was a positive, it would be the art being above my expectations. The cover art is really doing the manga some injustice compared to how the actual art is.
Overall, a classic and cliché manga with an empathetic protagonist which is enough for me.
