Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon · review
In all honestly, I have not read much manga. However, this vending machine saga is a story I'm always checking to see if there are more chapters published. The premise is albeit a bit ridiculous, but the manga is aware of that ridiculousness and leans into it wholeheartedly which leads to quite creative and endearing scenarios of resourcefulness and problem-solving, as although we can see the main character's internal monologue and inner thoughts, his external dialogue is limited via plot reasons. This manga strives to be a story of a vending machine in a fantasy world with endearing side characters taking said vending machine on crazyadventures, and it did a great job of what it was striving to do. Of course, it's not perfect; the fantasy world itself is extremely generic, and some of the more dangerous parts of the story get wrapped up conveniently nicely. But if you're down for a fun read of a story of two beings learning to become friends despite physical and communicational differences, I couldn't recommend it more.
Plus, this manga is really making me more interested in manga as a whole... I wonder what I should read next 😊
