Tsukimi no Soba is a very interesting manga that has great ideas but ultimately fails due to a lack of good character design, art, and popularity. There's not much to actually dissect in the first chapter the generic boy meets girl plot is alright but then we see he's the son of a restaurant owner and delivers food to local homes (gee where have I seen that before). Honestly, it got pretty boring and I wasn't that entertained I feel if it had better art and if the main girl wasn't a loli 50% of the time it would be better. On a side noteher ability to change into an 18-year-old version of herself may have been inspired by something else which eventually inspired Nezuko's power which is pretty cool. Overall I don't recommend reading this one-shot it's among Shonen Jump's lowest toer manga and it just falls into mediocrity from the very first page. The story was pretty enticing but not enough to save the manga.
