Cocoon Entwined · review
Not finished yet but read the other reviews and wanted to do my own review about it. Firstly, as others have mentioned, the art is beautiful and inspiring, and portrays melancholy and enamour especially well. The story was easy to follow if you read especially well. I did not find it particularly hard or messy to understand. The symbolism is detailed and beautiful. The characters are so realll and relatable — the main character Yokou especially, she made me cry a few times. It was slightly annoying that the main focus of the characters (the girl) was a mysterious faceless character but I assume it’llgo deeper soon and explain her. One part with the jealous girl was AMAZING — her expressions and jealousy was shown so breathtakingly…
Overall, you will most likely enjoy this if you like symbolism and depictions of being hurt, alone, conflicted with yourself etc. as well as appreciating pretty art of course!
Read it if you wanna know how to draw long hair!! (P.S. Yokou’s childhood friend is one of the best characters ;3) solid 7.5, maybe an 8/10 imo!
