Riht. · review
Riht. is about two childhood friends who had their friendship stranded after Yuu noticed his feelings for Asa had changed. The art has its ups and downs but it's consistent for the most part. The pacing can feel a bit slow and the storytelling can be a bit confusing, sometimes it's hard to tell how and where an event fits in the timeline so it can be somewhat hard to read. It also has some glaring plot holes from subplots that were brought up but never explored at length That being said, the main selling point of this story (and quite frankly the best part of it)are Yuu's thoughts. The vast majority of the manga is inside Yuu's head. We get to read his internal monologue quite often and seeing his feelings and understanding his thoughts and actions brings a new dimension for what is happening between Yuu and Asa. It's honestly very interesting to read how he sees his role on Asa's life as well as how he perceives Asa's feelings and how he can navigate through all that without becoming an inconvenience.
Overall, it's a good manga. It may be a bit slow and confusing at times but it also has interesting aspects that are not found very often on shounen ai works.
