Most monster girl manga are like high fantasy, the "monsters" are usually just people with longer ears or horns or tails. Everything is idolized, it's all beautiful and cute. To use that analogy, this writer's work is more Dark Fantasy, with monsters that are actually monsters, carrying a lot of characters that are not common in the genre. They are unique works, worth reading through, but they are not perfect. The art is hard to read in many places, and it's clear that a lot more work has gone into some chapters than others. The stories aren't particularly outstanding either, mostly a basic scenario leading tosex. There is only the bare minimum of build-up (though not always).
