Albus Changes the World · review
Simply an underrated masterpiece. I found this under a stack here in MAL called Good Manga for Old Farts - at first I didnt expect much as it looks like the usual shounen but it is not. Just keep reading it, question the logic, and youll be surprised how well the author can piece it together. Honestly with how far I am now, it seems to me like I am reading 3 different novels at once lol but its refreshing to me. When decisions actually matter and consequences are dire and there is no deus ex machina that can just neatly take care of everything. If youlike determined MCs that dont wuss out, this is the story for you. Ive always liked how the MC has a one clear goal and the story doesnt really have fillers to detract it from that. Edge of Tommorrow kind of story but very feel-good and SOL feeling. Its basically a story of preventing tragedies, but life is unfair and tragedies are bound to happen - and in spite of that you keep pushing forward (technically backwards lol because its time loops).
For a fantasy shounen, its great that battles often happen & finish in one or two pages. The author definitely enjoyed writing this one.
