Review of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Let it be known that this anime is definitely in my top 10 animes. Sure, like everything else, it has its flaws, but I honestly do not regret the over 20 hours I spent watching both the first and second season at all. It was an emotional roller coaster, and I loved it. It was so refreshing to see a protagonist with borderline anti-hero values, and such a shrewd and sharp ability to judge situations and make plans. And, while this might be my personal bias speaking, I really think Lelouch is an amazing protagonist. The other characters are great too, and I love how theanime takes time to show things from the points of views of multiple characters, it makes the story more 3 dimensional and developed.
This anime made me laugh and cry (oh how i cried), and I don't regret watching it even one bit. The soundtrack was amazing, I still can't listen to some of the OSTs without tearing up. The openings were great (apart from OP2, that one sucked), and the endings were just as catchy. 2006 Clamp art is certainly.. interesting. But it grows on you after a while.
To be frank, I loved this anime and its sequel, and I don't regret watching it even one bit. Maybe I'm a bit blinded to the few plot holes and flaws by how much I enjoyed the whole thing, but hey, we've all been there.
