Review of High School of the Dead

Highschool of the Dead. where should I start. A small group of what you can call induviduals in several ways experience that zombies is attacking worldwide and now also their school. Most of the characters allready know each other from childhood etc etc, the standard stuff. They are forced to leave the school in order to try and survive in the city the used to live in. This story got it's share of the ecchi genre, as well as attempts at lightening up the wiewers with some "fitting" scenarios as the series goes on, embarassing moments and so on. Most people have seen the zombie movies where they take over theworld and protaganists try to survive the way they can while you also get a glimse from maybe those that made it happend, or somewhat in that direction anyway.
well, this anime look at the common person's way of seeing this happend and trying to survive instead. Everything from mindfreaking scenes to people exploiting this for a eventual benefit in many ways.

There is "one" thing I still react to though,and that's how the main characters,mostly, never loose their sanity to where it would look like they actually have a hard time killing "zombies" of all things.

well, anyway. generally, I would say that is is really a must-see for those into the genres shown. It puts you out a little as how the show seems to speed up, only to slow back to for some serius talks and tactical plannings. must see in my opinion. even though I have yet to finish it myself.
