Durarara!! is a very interesting anime with the main plotline being broken down into three core arcs centering around the main characters conflicts, secrets, and emotions. Story (9) : Durarara!! takes place in a city called Ikebukoro where a hand full of people including the seemingly average protagonist, Ryugamine Mikado, have a handful of secrets. The first few episodes are more of character introductions and what kind of city Ikebukoro is, but although these first episodes were character intros. They somehow tied into the main story as well as show how some characters are related to each other as well, making for the viewer to kind of delve into some of the characters personal background. As stated before the plotline is broken into three different arcs, with each arc centering around one of the three protagonists Mikado & Celty(first arc), Anri(2nd arc), and Kida(3rd arc). The first two arcs were really well done, with alot of empty holes being filled and leaving a WTF?! feeling in your mind. The 3rd arc was enjoyable as well, but didn't have the sense of awe that was given off in the first two arcs.

Sound (8): The soundtrack of Durarara!! was outstanding, with some of the best BGM I've heard in an anime. The BGM really allowed the viewer to have a sense of the atmosphere that took place throughout the anime, whether the moment was cheerful, intense, sad, or supernatural.

Character (10): Otakus, gangs, crazy doctors, superhuman bartenders, a person who toys with peoples emotions....the list goes on. The characters are fantastic, with an excellent voice acting cast that really brings the emotions of each character to life. Ikebukuro is a city of secrets, which means that each character has their own bit of secrets which are shown in the character intros. As previously stated, the character intro episodes themselves are the episodes that actually allow the viewer to sort of connect to the character's past and see what lead to them to be the person they are in Ikebukoro. These characters are probably some of the most well-detailed characters I've ever seen in an anime.

Enjoyment (9): All I can say is that when watching Durarara!! I had an awesome time watching it, I was on the edge of my seat on some moments and then tilting back in my chair saying WTF?! sometimes. Durarara!! was very enjoying and entertaining to watch.

Overall, I would give the anime a 9 on a scale of 1-10. For people who are into a noir-like stuff, with some supernatural and action, this anime is perfect for you. I recommend this for everyone to see.
