Honestly, what was the point in this? (No slight spoilers below will be new info if you watch the first 5 minutes *including* the OP. This is acting solely to offer a gist beyond that, for those still on the fence whether to continue watching. There's truly no secret quality to this!) . . .:CONFLICT:. On his deathbed, FL's father told his friend how he wanted his daughter to be part of his friend's family. While there's room for misinterpretation, said-family friend accepted it as a dying will for their respective children to marry; the two were already friends of the same age. BUT not asingle soul was told of this--not any four of the dead man's children!--while he yeeted to Poland with his son. A son raised to only ever become FL's husband. This was all bluntly admitted.

So after some years away with no contact ever, without warning, the family friend has decided FL and his son will marry once she turns 16 and emigrate to Poland. Thus begins the conflict of this arrangement.

FL is a Judo prodigy, both inspiring her fiancé and becoming his first love. She has no friends outside her Judo buddies who all lust after her and a piano playing boy. Out of all of them, her only love interests were the two pretty boys of the bunch. Her fiancé is effectively the third love interest instead of the main.
But when it comes to love, she simply wants someone willing to tell her he loves her. A very, very simple requirement truly any of them should be able to confess. On top of that, she feels she’s not ready for marriage just yet and refuses to go along with her fiancé’s father’s whims. She is very wishy-washy in regards to whether she puts her foot down or waits for someone to save her, but that'd make her too consistent.

Love Interest #1: A fellow Judo member who acts without thought. The writing hints him to be the eventual ML, but instead, he's used as an excuse for FL to not marry and leave for Poland before she's ready. He also acts as a barrier between FL and the creepy Judo members, but whenever he starts to show intimacy towards her, her brothers finally come onto the scene.

Love Interest #2: A piano player and natural tactician. He’s who FL goes to for support or even a second opinion, and she trusts him enough to be all alone in the music room with him. However, he refuses to express his feelings and even denies them when directly confronted. He’s the only reason #1 won.

Love Interest #3: the fiancé no one knew was her fiancé except him and his father. Most of his childhood was spent in Poland with his father, where he was essentially groomed. He's incredibly smart and knows how to use his good looks to mask his natural clumsiness. His impulsiveness is only ever in regard to FL. A side effect of what his father did to him.

But overall when it comes to love interests, each are scum. The OVA readily highlights how bad the fiancé is, but the OP sequence implies the other two are no better. It's merely the time limit made worse by the sus father who threw her family into drama.

FL's family: FL has three older brothers. No personalities aside from their unconditional love for their sole sister, and the eldest is the acting Head. He’s also the one who reminds them that it’s FL’s choice to make, not theirs, not the family friend’s, and not even their departed father’s.
Unfortunately, they’re short-sighted simps. They don’t push back against the family friend even to reject a marriage until FL is an adult; back then, that was 20 years of age both legally and culturally. While they could consent and allow her to marry at 16, they could just as easily use her finishing high school and preparing to emigrate to keep her there for 2-4 years longer. There was and never could be anything to rush such a decision.

The family friend: simply sus. He chose to keep everything regarding the engagement plans a secret to him and his son, while severing contact all the years he groomed his son. This could be chalked-up to Japan liking shock value for the sake of "interesting!", but that's hard to excuse. After all, he returned to Japan solely due to FL turning 16 and could technically wed and confessed to how he groomed his own son. He is a very sus man who should've left instead of his friend!

In my opinion, they should’ve written FL’s fiancé as a returnee, even if only temporarily, rather than a visitor there solely to take her back to Poland. The OVA used very desperate tactics for shock value when they had a far more convenient cultural difference to utilize instead.
