Review of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

At first, I had serious doubts regarding the quality of movie considering the fact I don't like the series that much. For me, the 28 episode re-broadcasted series was average at the best (I watched it in chronological order). Among all the works of Kyoto Animation I have seen so far, only Haruhi Suzumiya was with lowest rating. I barely managed to complete the series, I was thinking of dropping the same many times. I was sort of disappointed with Kyoto Animation. So, I was not at all optimistic of this movie. But I thought when I had managed to bear 28 episodes, then what bad onemovie would do.

However, contrary to my perception, this movie turns out to be very good. I overall liked the story and enjoyed the movie. This movie has something which was kind-of missing in the whole anime series. Animations were very good as expected from Kyoto Animation.

I would definitely recommend this movie even to those who disliked the series like me.
