Review of School Days

This is not an anime to watch when you're young and you definitely should not go into this anime thinking it's going to be a cute love story. I originally watched this when I was 13 or so and could not stand it. I even left it a terrible review. I'm now 21 and my fiance told me I should give it another shot, so I did and I'm glad that I did. For those of you who don't know, School Days is based off of the visual novel of the same name or School Days HQ. This visual novel is kind of notorious for itsbad ends, specifically how brutal some of them can be. The anime is using one of those many bad ends, so don't expect this to be some cute slice of life school romance.

Overall, I would probably give School Days and 8/10. Is it the best thing I've seen? No. But, it is worth watching and I did enjoy it a lot. The art is dark and desaturated, which gives it a nice vibe. The characters are cute and honestly pretty realistic. It has some really good music too. I'm glad that I own this anime and I'll probably re-watch it again eventually.

For those of you who see all of the bad reviews or hear people say this is the worst anime, don't listen to them. I was one of those people at one point and I was definitely wrong about it. I would definitely recommend giving this a shot as long as you aren't 13 like I was the first time.
