Color me surprised, because Tatari has the potential to be a truly captivating manga(Natsume Yuujinchou on steroids, jk). Although it is still too early given that there have been only 12 chapters released as of writing this review, its safe to say that tatari is a promising manga. Brace yourself for the genre transitions! And we surely have a unique protagonist. What really makes this manga good is the duality in the mood and the tone of the series as it smoothly transitions from one emotion to another effortlessly. The art supplements the manga adequately although it could have been more crisper in certain panels(not reallycomplaining). The pacing is good so far. Anyone with a love for Action/Supernatural would thoroughly enjoy this manga.

Although the main character is quite gravitating, the supporting cast is where I feel there maybe problems in the long run but it is still too early to judge. Honestly speaking I don't really have high hopes for the antagonists. Having said that an assortment of intriguing characters have been introduced.

I have read my fair share of fighting/battle manga but occasionally I get the impression that there is lack of motivation or a reason behind their fights, but this manga has a clear reason which makes the story progress with intent and leaves us readers excited for the forthcoming chapters. It has the potential to be an amazing find "IF" it maintains the current pace and keeps clear of generic clichés in the subsequent chapters.

These are just my preliminary thoughts, and if you ask me if you should try it or not, I would strongly advise you to do so.
