If I could resume this, I would say it's a NTR drama. This isn’t your typical story about two childhood friends reconnecting as adults. That element is there, but it’s far from the main focus. Over 80% of the story revolves around the dynamic between the FL and the 2ML, while the ML ends up feeling more like a supporting character than the actual second lead. At a certain point in the story, even though their relationship starts off with a fake confession, what develops between the FL and the 2ML feels real and engaging enough that you can’t help but root for them. If theML weren’t a constant presence in their lives, the FL would almost certainly have moved on from her childhood crush, especially since the 2ML comes across as much more confident and proactive.
Unfortunately, in a story built around the tension between a growing love and a lingering childhood attachment, the FL ultimately chooses her feelings for her first love. After the ML confesses to FL - even while she is already in a relationship with his coworker - she finally decides to take action, despite having remained passive throughout most of the manga, only thinking about herself and her own desires. She ends up discarding her current boyfriend and, in a rather selfish move, accepts the ML’s confession. Once again, a NTR ending.
